ERN's visitor-contribution layer is designed to be temporary and place-based, not a permanent review feed or social network.
First: short-lived Earth Signals
Planned structured observations include raining, beautiful light, busy, peaceful, something happening and worth seeing. They expire after about 45 minutes. Precise contributor coordinates are never shown publicly.
Then: temporary photos and short clips
Visitor “Now Moment” photos and short clips remain part of the roadmap, but they will not be activated until ERN has real moderation, abuse reporting, consent, metadata stripping, automatic expiry/deletion, rate limits and an updated privacy notice. Visitor media never upgrades a camera to LIVE or proves that a source is current.
